Tell the White House and the Senate:

*** I am heartened to see that the House passed the Build Back Better Act which will ensure that all families have enough time to care for themselves and the ones they love. We now need the Senate to pass Build Back Better with the inclusion of a comprehensive, universal paid leave program to ensure that barriers are reduced for workers to utilize an adequate, affordable, and accessible program.

*** Working families, especially families of color and those led by women, need a government that takes the side of working people and that guarantees the shared prosperity that we have earned, including family and medical leave.

*** Having comprehensive paid leave means having an equitable program that:
º Includes all forms of care: for oneself, a seriously ill family member and a new child, so everyone is able to be with the ones they love when caregiving needs emerge.
º Recognizes all families, whether they are multi-generational, LGBTQ, related by blood or affinity, everyone should be able to care for the people they love.
º Allocates enough time and money for people to afford using the benefit.
