Honor 32 Years of FMLA by Passing National Paid Family & Medical Leave

As we mark the 32nd anniversary of the FMLA, I am calling on you to become a champion for comprehensive paid family and medical leave. We can no longer accept reality without paid family and medical leave. Working families, especially families of color and those led by women need a government that takes the side of working people and that guarantees the shared prosperity that we have earned, including but not limited to paid family and medical leave.

Having comprehensive paid leave means having an equitable program that:
- Includes all forms of care: for oneself, a seriously ill family member, or a new child, so everyone can be with the ones they love when caregiving needs emerge.
- Recognizes all families, whether they are multi-generational, LGBTQ, related by blood or affinity, should all be able to care for the people they love.
- Allocates enough time and money for people to afford to use the benefit.
